Police Investigate Home Burglary in Heidelberg

Heidelberg police are warning borough residents to be alert after a home was burglarized Tuesday night.

Police said a home in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue was entered through a rear window some time between 3 and 9:30 p.m., and investigators are asking for witnesses to come forward with information.

Investigators said jewelry, cash and other valuables were taken from the residence during the break-in.

Anyone with information about the burglary who might have been in the area of Lincoln Avenue or Virgin Way are asked to call Heidelberg police at 412-276-0513.

Police are also asking people to be vigilant by keeping their doors locked and watching for suspicious activity in the borough.
