Christmas Tree Recycling Locations

Settlers Cabin Park and South Park are recycling old Christmas trees in January.

You might still have a little bit of greenery in your home as the 12 days of Christmas wind down.

But rather than throwing away , there are plenty of places around Allegheny County where the old fir can be recycled.

In this area, residents can take their old Christmas trees to Settlers Cabin Park in from Jan. 3 to 22. The park is accepting the trees each day at the swimming pool parking lot from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will also be drop-offs on the same dates and times at South Park’s swimming pool area.

All lights, decorations and stands must be removed from the trees before they’re deposited at the park. The trees will be mulched and be used at Allegheny County parks.
