Former Scott Township Teen Appears on 'Today' Show to Discuss Sleep Disorder

The Delien family, who talked with Patch about their daughter's struggle with a rare sleep disorder, today appeared on the 'Today' show to promote Kleine-Levin Syndrome awareness.

A former Chartiers Valley student was a featured guest on this morning's Today show, where she talked about her struggle with the rare "Sleeping Beauty Syndrome."

Nichole Delien, a 17-year-old who suffers from Kleine-Levin Syndrome, appeared on the NBC morning show alongside her family. The Deliens, who previously lived in Scott Township talked about Nichole's condition—a rare neurological disorder that causes her to periodically fall asleep for days or weeks at a time.
