Handyman Gets Comfy in Stolen Work Boots

A handyman apparently got comfortable in his new work boots when he allegedly stole the footwear from one store and went shopping for hardware in them a few minutes later. Read about that and more in the weekly Collier police blotter.

A handyman got comfortable in his new work boots when he allegedly stole the footwear from one store and went shopping for hardware in them a few minutes later.

Collier Township police said Billy Joe Holland, 29, of Imperial, stole a pair of work boots worth $50 from Kmart on Nov. 13 and immediately left the store to go shopping at nearby Home Depot.

Police said they received a description of him and went searching for the man. Officers said they found him shopping at Home Depot wearing the boots.

Collier Township

A Noblestown Road home was burglarized on Nov. 16 and a $500 laptop and $150 worth of Wii video games were stolen, Collier police said.
