Jewelry Burglary Suspect Arrested

Burglary suspect arrested: Collier police have arrested a Crafton man and charged him with a burglary in the township on Sept. 18. Police said 20-year-old Cody Still was caught trying to pawn jewelry that had been stolen from a home on Baldwin Road Extension. North Fayette police made the initial arrest and handed him over to Collier Township authorities. Still is charged with burglary, trespassing, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime.

Business break-in: Collier police said someone broke into the Roofing Supply Group building on Noblestown Road and stole nearly $500 from the cash register. The break-in occurred some time from Sept. 9 to 12.

Copper stolen: At least 40 feet of copper piping worth about $400 was taken from a development near Manor Drive on Sept. 21, Collier police said.

Bicycle returned to owner: A Collier Township officer found a bicycle that was stolen from a Forsythe Road home and returned it to the owner. The bike was stolen on Sept. 24 and found a short time later in the woods off Thoms Run Road.

Bar vandalized: Scott Township police said someone spray-painted graffiti on the outside of Rocky’s Lounge in the early hours of Sept. 21.

Corruption of minor incident: David A. Berkman, 43, of Scott, was charged with corruption of minors after township police said there was an incident on Dorsey Street on Sept. 24. Police did not elaborate on what type of incident led to his arrest.

Domestic argument: Scott police said they charged 24-year-old township resident Kristine M. Krocker with assault following a fight at her Vanadium Road home. Police also charged her with a drug offense after officers said they found prescription medication in her possession.

Public drunkenness charge: John R. Liggett Jr., 26, of Bridgeville, was charged with public drunkenness on Sept. 21 after Scott police said they found him highly intoxicated on Hope Hollow Road.

Playground graffiti: Scott police said they are investigating who wrote graffiti onto the Gregg Street Park playground equipment Sept. 20.
