Locally Filmed 'St. Quentin's' Premieres Saturday in Carnegie

"Escape from St. Quentin's" was filmed in and around Scott Township.

A locally-filmed movie is premiering at in Scott Township this weekend.

"Escape from St. Quentin's," which was filmed at St. Ignatius Church earlier this year, will premiere at the church this Saturday, April 20, at 8 p.m., according to the "Escape from St. Quentin's" Premiere Facebook page.

The screening is free and open to the public.

The movie follows 10-year-old Danny as he tries to escape from St. Quentin's Church during Sunday mass to play football with his friends.

The film was written by Scott Peters and Anthony Poremski, both of the North Hills. It won third place in the 2012 Steeltown Film Factory Screenwriting Competition. More information about the film can be found on the "Escape from St. Quentin" Facebook page.
