Collier Parks, Playgrounds Now "Tobacco-Free" Zones

Collier Township commissioners voted last week to make all parks, playground and ball fields tobacco-free zones.

All of Collier Township's parks and playgrounds are now tobacco-free zones.

Township commissioners voted at the regular public meeting on May 8 to prohibit the use of any tobacco products at the township's parks, courts, ball fields and playgrounds.

Signs supplied by the state Department of Health will be posted in those areas, and violators will be asked to leave the designated areas.
