New Dentist Takes Over 30-Year-Old Bridgeville Practice

Danielle Jesensky has taken over the dental practice previously owned by Dr. William Syling.

A new dentist has taken over a practice that’s been in the Bridgeville area for about 30 years.

Danielle Jesensky, a Mt. Lebanon resident who originally is from the State College area, bought Forsythe Dental Practice, previously owned by William Syling, at the end of May and now works from the office at 1 Forsythe Road.

“Dr. Syling was in this building since it was built in about 2000, but he had a practice in the area for about 30 years,” she said. “We just want to let people know we’re still here. There’s a different face, but it’s the same practice.”

Jesensky completed her undergraduate degree at Juniata College, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 2006.

She and her husband, Jeff, a Castle Shannon native, had been living in Philadelphia when they decided to come back to Pittsburgh about a year ago. Jesensky was working at a dental office in Oakland before taking over Syling’s practice.

“My husband is a Pittsburgher and now I feel like one, too,” she said. “I’ve been looking for a practice for a long time, and I feel like this one is a good fit for me.”

Jesensky has planned some updates to the office—new x-ray equipment and other improvements are on the way—but for the most part, she said, not much is changing.

The practice will continue seeing patients of all ages, starting at age 3, and it will continue to accept the same insurance carriers, so patients do not have to worry about changes.

The same smiling faces also will still be in the office. Heather Smith will still greet patients at the front desk, and Carrie Riley is still the hygienist for the practice.

Jesensky’s dental office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and one Saturday a month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Evening hours will be available in the fall. The office is in the plaza at 1 Forsythe Road in Presto.
