Three burglaries have been reported in Collier Township over the past week.

Burglaries reported: Collier police are investigating three burglaries that occurred earlier this month in the township, including two on Noblestown Road. Investigators said a woman in the 1000 block of Noblestown returned home on Dec. 17 to find her front door glass shattered and home burglarized. She told police three gold rings were missing, and she’s continuing to look for other items that were stolen. On the other side of Noblestown Road, police said a home was burglarized some time from Dec. 5 to 17. All that was taken, however, was a glass piggy bank containing $30. Meanwhile, a man was seen trying to break into the ChemTech office building along Washington Pike. Two offices were entered, police said, but nothing appears to be missing. Investigators are unsure if the three burglaries are related.
Clothing stolen: Two women face shoplifting charges a month after Collier police said they stole $1,386 worth of clothes from Kmart. Donna McKissick, 42, of Butler, and Seazen Morales, 24, of Ingram, both were charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy. Police were called to Kmart on Nov. 18 after employees there said a woman went into the dressing room with garments and apparently put them underneath her clothes before leaving the store. The workers tried to stop her but she was able to get away with the merchandise. Police said they later found bags of clothes near Kirwan Heights, and eventually discovered evidence leading them to McKissick and Morales.
