Scam Attempt Reported in Scott Township
Crime update from Scott Township Police, July 27 to Aug. 4.

A scam attempt was reported in Scott Township on Aug. 1.
According to the Scott Township police report, and elderly resident was told to send money overseas in what was determined to be a scam attempt. The victim did not lose any money, police said.

- Andrew Micheli, 20, of Bridgeville, was charged with DUI following a one-vehicle crash on Noblestown Road on July 28 at 5:15 p.m.
- A Sterling silver place setting, last seen around Christmas of 2012, was reported missing from a residence on Green Commons Drive.
- Shaquilae Franklin, 19, of Carnegie, and two female juveniles, were charged with retail theft after an incident at Walmart on July 31 just after 6 p.m.
- David Cagnacci, 25, of Heidelberg, was cited for disorderly conduct after creating a disturbance at Get Go on Washington Avenue on Aug. 2 at 3:20 a.m.
