Bless These Pets
Pets can accompany their owners for blessing Sunday at St. Paul's in Mt. Lebanon.

In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis Sunday, St. Paulβs Episcopal Church in Mt. LebanonΒ will open its doors to the animal kingdom!
Accompanied by their human companions, local pets are invited to worship and be blessed at the family-friendly 8:45 a.m. service.
Afterward, there will be treats for all species in St. Margaretβs Garden outside the church. Those who do not wish to worship with their pets are invited to bring their companions to be blessed outside at noon.β¨Β

βFrancis saw the value of all of God's creation,β said Rev. Lou Hays, rector of St. Paulβs. βWe hope many of our neighbors will join us for this special celebration of all creatures, great and small.
In previous years, all of the pets have been remarkably well-behaved. They seem to realize they are in a sacred space. We are excited to once again host this event because St. Paulβs is a family-friendly place and pets are an integral part of many families.
