Weekend Work Planned for Greentree Road

Crews are planning this weekend to work on the Greentree Road bridge near Route 50, .

Workers will be removing and replacing strip seal dams on the bridge that carries Greentree Road over Chartiers Creek near . Lane restrictions are to begin at 8 p.m. Friday and will continue until 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic in each direction will be shifted to the side away from the work areas.

Meanwhile, overnight work during the week will continue in that area of Route 50 until late October.

Crew will also continue to do work along Route 50 in front of . There will be single-lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. Motorists should expect delays and changing traffic patterns when traveling through that area this weekend.

The $6.8 million project will repair the road surface while upgrading traffic signals, sidewalks, bridges and guardrails along the 3.5-mile stretch of road between Bridgeville and Carnegie.
