$1,800 Worth of Items Stolen from Apartment, Police Say
A woman returns home to find her apartment ransacked.

A woman returned home on May 8, to discover that her apartment had been ransacked, and $1,800 worth of items had been stolen, police said.
A Mt. Airy woman told police that she returned to her apartment in the 100 block of East Washington Lane at 11:30 p.m., on May 8, to discover that her front door had been pried open and several rooms had been rummaged through, police said.
Police reported a safe stolen as well as a computer monitor and a flat screen television.

The safe contained a passport, personal paperwork and various jewelry, police said.
