$100,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen in Chestnut Hill, Police Say
A home in Chestnut Hill is burglarized, and a lot of jewelry is taken.

A man reported more than $100,000 in jewelry stolen from his home in Chestnut Hill on May 15, police said.
A man who lives in the 700 block of St. Andrews Road left his home at 7:30 a.m. on May 15, and when he returned home at 7 p.m. that night he discovered the bathroom fan was turned on, police said.
He made his way into a first floor bedroom that had been ransacked. He also discovered that the patio door to the bedroom had been kicked in, police said.

The home had an alarm, but it was not armed, police said.
Nothing was reported missing from the home except jewelry, and police valued the missing jewelry at $100,000.
