$3,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen, Police Say

A house is burglarized on a house-sitter's watch.

Jewelry worth $3,000 was stolen from a home on the 100 block of Lynnebrook Lane, police said.

A man was house sitting when he noticed that the kitchen door had been forced open on May 14, at approximately 6:13 p.m., police said.

When he went inside, he discovered that the master bedroom had been ransacked as well as several closets, police said.

The home had an alarm system, but police said it wasn’t armed.

A large amount of jewelry was stolen from the residence, and police estimate the value of the jewelry at more than $3,000.
