$8,000 in Jewelry Taken While Woman Slept, Police Say
A woman also has $60 stolen from her.

Theft: On April 5, at approximately 6 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the 6400 block of Germantown Avenue. Police say a woman reported that while she left her room at the retirement home to go down the hall to take a shower, someone stole $60 from her pocketbook.
Burglary: On April 6, at 7 a.m., police received a report of a theft on Tohopeka Lane in Chestnut Hill. According to police, someone entered the residence while the homeowner was sleeping and stole various pieces of jewelry. The homeowner didn’t hear or see anything, and she only noticed the next morning when the window and rear door were open. Police value the stolen jewelry at $8,000.
