A Pick Pocket Strikes in Chestnut Hill, Police Say

A stolen credit card is also used to make $1,000 worth of purchases.

Theft: On April 4, at approximately 6:45 p.m., police received a report of a theft in the 7800 block of Germantown Avenue.  According to police, a woman was eating with her friends when she felt a jolt has someone rammed his chair into her.  When the woman went to pay for her meal later, her wallet was missing, police say.

Theft: On April 4, at approximately 12 a.m., police received a report of a theft at the Starbucks located at 8515 Germantown Ave.  According to police, while a woman was at the Starbucks her bag was stolen.  Police say that the credit cards in the bag were then used to buy gas and at a drug store to make $1,000 worth of purchases.
