Demolition Underway at Old Dealership Lot

Heavy machinery is hard at work turning the former McGarrity car dealership into a new Fresh Market.

With a bang, thud and crash, demolition got underway at the former McGarrity car dealership lot located at the intersection of Germantown Avenue and West Hartwell Lane.

Chestnut Hill business recruiter Laurie Wightman said that the old dealership will soon become a Fresh Market grocery store.

Wightman added that there will be condos above the store, and that the project is slated for completion in the spring or summer of 2014.
