Mt. Airy Art Garage Looking For New Home

Come Aug. 31, 2016, the Mt. Airy Art Garage will be without its regular home at 11 Mt. Airy Avenue.

“The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG) lease will expire August 31, 2016, and unexpectedly, we have not been granted the option to renew it,” read a statement from the nonprofit artist hub on Tuesday. “This means that, as we look toward next year, the Mt. Airy Art Garage will need to find a new home. It’s a big challenge — one we have every intention of meeting, with community support.”

To that end, the MAAG is organizing a pair of events, launching a new campaign to find a new home and hire paid staff.
