Philadelphia Runways Reopened After Emergency Landing
An engine fire forced the plane to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport.
The Philadelphia International Airport tweeted that all runways have been reopened as of 5 p.m. after an emergency landing forced the FAA to shut down all air traffic for approximately one hour.
A fire in one of the engines in a United Express airplane forced pilots to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport Tuesday afternoon, according to NBC-10.
According to CBS Philly, all 75 passengers were safely evacuated from the plane once it landed at the Philadelphia runway. Airport officials say one passenger with a history of heart problems was taken to a nearby hospital.

A tweet from the airport reads:
United Express Flight #4882 was diverted from Raleigh to Newark. #2 engine was on fire. passengers evacuated, fire extinguished. ALL SAFE.

The incident prompted the FAA to ground all planes and halt air traffic at the Philadelphia airport until at least 5 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
