When Will Temperatures Hit 90 in Philadelphia?

If you haven’t turned on the air conditioner yet, now’s the time. A heat wave is on the way, forecasters say.

Temperatures will hit the 90s Thursday and Friday, the Weather Channel says.

The extreme heat will be short-lived, though. Temperatures in the 80s will return for the weekend.

Thursday: Chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68

Friday: Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent
