Woman Robbed at Gunpoint while Waiting for the Bus, Police Say

A woman was robbed at gunpoint while waiting for the bus in the 400 block of E. Mount Pleasant Avenue on May 28.

A woman stood at the bus stop at around 10:23 p.m. when a man walked passed her, police said.

The woman turned her head to look up the street for the bus, and when she turned to look back the man was standing next to her with a black and silver handgun pointed at her, police said. 

The man demanded that the woman hand over her things, police said.

The woman did, and the man fled north on Ardleigh Street, police said.

The stolen items included an iPhone and a Pathmark employee’s uniform, police said.
