Cranberry To Renovate Community Park Rotary Amphitheater
The Cranberry Township Community Chest is spearheading an expansion and renovation of the amphitheater.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park, the artistic and entertainment epicenter in the township in warm-weather months, will be extensively renovated under a plan by the Cranberry Township Community Chest.
The organization has made the rehabilitation of the amphitheater its 2020 project of the year and has begun soliciting donations to pay for the project.
The project's objective is to attract more entertainers from a variety of backgrounds for the community to enjoy. Big name performers are limited by the 17-year-old amphitheater's current size and condition of the amphitheater.Community Chest officials believe that after making the necessary upgrades, Cranberry will attract more bands and other forms of art entertainment such as symphony, opera, and dance performances.

The first phase of the project will focus on the amphitheater structure and include an expanded canopy and state, new lighting, audio upgrades, improved restrooms and ADA accessibility. Township officials say work will begin following Cranberry Community Days in July and be completed by spring 2021.
The second phase will involve the installation of new underground utilities to prepare for the third phase, in which terrace seating and a plaza will be added.
