Delegation From El Salvador To Talk Traffic In Cranberry
They will be here to discuss Cranberry's traffic control technologies.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Ten government representatives, architects and urban planners from El Salvador will visit Cranberry Friday to discuss the smart technology traffic control methods with township officials.
The session is part of Global Pittsburgh's City Planning project. The El Salvadorians were invited to the United States to participate in the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program.
In addition to the meeting in Cranberry, the group will discuss smart cities at the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Innovation and Performance; have a tour focusing on the sustainable features of the Center for Sustainable Landscapes at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden; discuss Envision Downtown at the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership; receive an introduction to Metro21 at Carnegie Mellon University’s Remaking Cities Institute; and learn about the Green Building Alliance’s agreement to establish Pittsburgh as a Center for Excellence on High Performance Buildings.
