1. Seneca Valley School Board Meeting
What’s going on in your child’s school? Find out in person when Seneca Valley school officials meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the Intermediate High School in Jackson Township.
2. The Art of Recycling Show
Cranberry Township Community Chest and Associated Artists of Butler County present The Art of Recycling Show in Cranberry. The mission of the show is to help raise awareness about recycling and to celebrate Cranberry’s residential waste recycling.
The original artwork made out of recycled materials will be on display at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center Friday, April 19 through Saturday, May 11. More than $1,700 in prize money is available.

3. Cranberry Kids Castle 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Registration for the 5K race and 1-mile fun run/walk to raise funds to construct Cranberry Kids Castle Playground begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at Community Park.
which will replace the wooden Playtime Palace, and the unveiling of its 'TODAY' section— the community-build portion of the playground with designs based on drawings by 3,500 local students—will take place at 8:55 a.m.

The 5K race kicks off at 9 a.m. and the 1 mile fun run is at 9:05 a.m. There is a $25 per person fee for the 5K and a $20 per person fee for the 1-mile fun run.

4. Good Taste! Pittsburgh at Cranberry Marriott
Good Taste! Pittsburgh, this area’s food and cooking extravaganza, takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at the Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry.
The event features celebrity chefs, food samplings, food activities for children, cooking demonstrations and the latest trends in kitchenware and cooking.
Tickets are $12 per person online at www.goodtastepittsburgh.com and $15 at the door.
5. Gardening Expert Doug Oster in Zelienople
The Zelienople Historical Society presents Doug Oster, “Pittsburgh’s Backyard Gardener,” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at The Strand Theater in Zelienople.
Oster will speak on heirloom planting and organic gardening. A Q&A session and book signing will follow his talk. There also will be door prizes, a basket auctions and refreshments.
