Nationally Acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Jeff Campbell Playing Acoustic Show in Harmony
Campbell recently won Guitar Center's 2013 singer-songwriter competition.
At age 29, Philadelphia native Jeff Campbell made a life-altering decision.
A fixture on the San Francisco music scene for years, Campbell, who moved to California on a job transfer in 2004, quit his “cushy” job in corporate sales to pursue his love of singing and songwriting fulltime.
It’s a move he’s never regretted.

“It took a while for me to actually pull the trigger,” he said. “Once I did, it was the easiest thing in the world.”
Today, the 33-year-old, who released his first acoustic album, Stop and Go, in 2012, tours around the country playing gigs, including at the South by Southwest music festival. The annual show in Austin, Texas also drew Justin Timberlake, Prince and other big name acts as performers.

In March, Campbell beat out more than 12,000 people to be named the winner of the Guitar Center's Singer-Songwriter 2 nation artist discovery program.
As part of the prize package, Campbell will have the opportunity to record a four-song EP with Grammy-winning John Shanks, who chose Campbell’s soulful delivery of Shut Your Mouth as the winning performance, and sing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
But first he’ll be in Harmony.
Campbell is set to perform at 7 p.m. Friday, March 29 at The Center of Harmony on Mercer Street.
Campbell’s girlfriend, singer-songwriter . Based on her review, Campbell said he’s looking forward to interacting with the audience while performing an intimate, acoustic set.
“She said it was like playing a house concert, only on a much bigger, cooler vibe,” Campbell said.
Both musicians learned of the Harmony venue through their mutual friend, Evans City resident Allie Koch. Koch, who started as a fan of Slankard’s music, now is Campbell’s manager—and a tireless promoter of his music.
“Meeting Allie was the best thing that’s happened,” Campbell said. “She’s a big supporter of my music.”
