Police, Fire Marshal Investigating Blaze at Cranberry Warehouse

Five Star Construction was severely damaged in the fire.

Cranberry Police and the state fire marshal are investigating a fire that heavily damaged a warehouse on Marshall Road Sunday morning.

Cranberry Fire Chief Brian Kovac said firefighters were dispatched to Five Star Construction at about 7:10 a.m.

When firefighters arrived at the scene minutes later, about 30 percent of the building was engulfed in flames, the chief said.

“It was going a good bit,” he said.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze contained to the rear of the building, he said. The fire was knocked out in less than 30 minute.

“We had a very good water supply,” Kovac said.

No one was in the building when the fire broke out. Kovac said there were no injuries.   

Cranberry police and the state fire marshal were at the scene at about noon Sunday.

“We are looking at every end of it,” Kovac said.  

Firefighters from Adams, Zelienople, Callery and Big Knob assisted Cranberry at the scene.
