Seneca Valley Students Named Positive Athletes in Hines Ward Program
The program honors high-character athletes in western Pennsylvania.

A host of Seneca Valley student-athletes were recently chosen by their coaches as a "Positive Athlete" role model on their respective teams.
This honor is part of Positive Athlete Pittsburgh, led by former Steelers great Hines Ward. This program is a movement by high-character athletes in Western Pennsylvania to promote the benefits of “positivity” to young athletes.
The seven definitions of a Positive Athlete include having an optimistic attitude, being an encouraging teammate, having a heart for others and more.

The fall and winter sport honorees are:
- Hanna Parey (Basketball)
- Steven Amoroso (Diving)
- Katy Raykovics (Cheer)
- Jackie Curtz (Swimming)
- Crystal Staudt (Soccer)
- Tyler Leake (Golf)
- Tanner Quiggle (Soccer)
- Mike Jones (Football)
- R.J. McCauley (Basketball)
- Sara Jones (Basketball)
- Morgan Might (Volleyball)
