What’s Under Construction in Cranberry in April?

Take a peek at some of the commercial developments opening soon in the township.

It seems like everywhere you look in Cranberry these days there’s a crane or a bulldozer at work on a new development.

Here’s a look at a few of the upcoming commercial developments, including photos, opening soon Cranberry.

Sheetz on Route 19

After months of grading and site preparation, construction is underway for a at the intersection of Route 19 and Ehrman Road.

In a private-public partnership, Sheetz also is helping to fund a traffic signal at the intersection of Ehrman Road and Route 19.

Sheetz spokeswoman Monica Jones previously told Cranberry Patch the new gas station could open by fall.

Century Business Park

Located on the hillside above the Sheetz now under construction at Route 19 and Erhman Road (near Victory Family Church), of business or professional office space on 9.8 acres.

Field & Stream Store

Dick’s Sporting Goods will open its first specialty Field & Stream retail concept at its former location in the Cranberry Square retail plaza off Route 19 in Cranberry.

Named for the iconic Field & Stream brand that been around for more than 140 years, the Field & Stream store will offer a vast assortment of outdoor equipment, accessories and services in hunting, fishing, archery, camping and more.

Renovations to the space include a complete overhaul of the building’s front façade, a new exterior paint job, additional landscaping as well as minor improvements to the parking lot.

The Field & Stream store is expected to open this fall.

Emiliano’s Mexican Restaurant

Located at the former CiCi's Pizza in the Cranberry Mall off Route 19, Emiliano’s Mexican Restaurant is expected to be open by next week.

The restaurant, which also has locations in Gibsonia and the Southside, offers Mexican dishes without the expensive prices, according to owner Benny Ulloa. On its menu are appetizers, fajitas, quesadillas, vegetarian options and more.

The restaurant also offers a variety of margaritas, mojitos, beer and sangria, as well as daily drink specials. 

Rochester Village at Park Place

You can reserve your spot now at the Rochester Village at Park Place located off Rochester Road. The apartment complex is scheduled to open this spring.

According to the Rochester Village website, the pet-friendly one and two bedroom apartments offer granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, free cable and internet and a 24-hour fitness center among its amenities.

While some of the living quarters are in traditional apartment structures, other spaces are located above retail shops for a “traditional neighborhood” look and feel.

The first phase of the project includes 120 residential units and 12,500 square feet of retail space, according to Cranberry Township. The second phase of the neighborhood consists of 108 residential units on about 20 acres of property.

Dutilh Road Office Buildings

Construction has begun on the first of near the Home Depot. The buildings originally were to be built simultaneously. They now will be built in sequence.

Dutilh Property Associates is the developer for the project. The development includes textured crosswalks, decorative streetlights and benches.

North Catholic High School

Construction continues on the new North Catholic High School along 71 acres on Route 228 at the border of Cranberry and Seven Fields.

The 179,000 square foot school, which will accommodate 1,000 students, is scheduled to be open in time for the 2014-15 school year.

Construction should be completed by January 2014, according to Michael J. Arnold, chief facilities officer for the Diocese. Students will begin attending the school in August 2014.

The school also is constructing a 2,000 foot-long connector road, dubbed Hillmont Drive, at the intersection of Mars and Franklin Road.

The existing intersection of Franklin and Old Mars Crider Roads then will be converted to a right in/ right out design, according to Cranberry officials.
