Broad Daylight Brookline Shooting Suspect In Custody
A man is facing numerous charges in connection with a brazen shooting in Brookline last week.
BROOKLINE, PA — A suspect is in custody after a shooting last week that left a man with two bullet wounds to his abdomen.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said Monday that Amirre Brown, 20, turned himself into police following the shooting along the 800 block of Brookline Boulevard. He is facing charges including criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license.
Brown is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

Police were dispatched to the area at around 4:15 p.m. on March 17 for reports of a man shot. When they arrived, an off-duty medic and a firefighter were rendering aid to the victim. Medics transported him to the hospital in serious but stable condition with at least two gunshot wounds.
The victim's condition was not updated on Monday.
