Burglaries Continue in Brookline, Surrounding Communities
Brookline, Beechview police blotter, Sept. 1 to Sept. 9.

A Sept. 3 burglary is the latest in a spree of thefts from Brookline homes.
Someone entered an apartment in the 900 block of Brookline Boulevard through an unlocked window between 1:30 and 9:30 p.m. A laptop and money were stolen from the home.
This burglary occurred during the day, but Pittsburgh police report that many recent burglaries have occurred at night, when residents are at home and asleep. More information is available by clicking here.

Residents should contact Zone 6 Detectives at 412-937-3051 if they believe they were a victim of theft from auto in Brookline during the past 30 days.

- Someone forced open the door of a home in the 1200 block of Westfield Street in Beechview and stole electronics. The incident occurred between Sept. 7 and Sept.
- Someone forced open a rear window of a home in the 1800 block of Maysell Street in Banksville and stole money during the early morning hours of Sept. 6. A witness reported that he saw a teenage white male, 5'9", 140lbs, with brown short hair, who was wearing a black hoodie, beige shorts and black shoes fleeing the scene.
- A laptop was reportedly stolen from a home in the 600 block of Oaklynn Court in Banksville on Sept. 4 between 3 and 3:30 p.m.

Theft
- A mini bike was stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1300 block of Alton Street in Beechview between noon and 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 3.
Arrests
- Neil Duffley of Brookline was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana in the 500 block of Brookline Boulevard on Sept. 5.
- Richard Roedler of Dormont was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 2500 block of West Liberty Avenue on Sept. 2.
