Dormont Woman Robbed, Police Look for Suspects

Police are looking for two men who shoved a Dormont woman to the ground and robbed her on July 31.

are looking for two men who robbed a woman on Illinois Avenue on July 31.

A 58-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Illinois and Belplain avenues at 10:25 p.m. when two men approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground and stole her purse. The men ran from the scene.

A witness chased the men, but lost sight of them near Tennessee Avenue.

The purse was found by a resident in the 1300 block Tennessee Avenue on Aug. 1, but the men have not been arrested.

Both suspects are described as black males in their late teens with slender builds. One was described as having a bald head, and was wearing a gray sleeveless shirt.
