Expect Liberty Bridge Lane Restrictions This Weekend

Weather permitting, driving on the bridge will be headache-inducing all weekend.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Lane restrictions will be in effect again this weekend on the Liberty Bridge and a nearby street.

Single-lane restrictions will be in place in both directions of the span from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday as crews install protective barrier and paint containment systems over the Port Authority light-rail line. Lane closures will not occur simultaneously in each direction on the bridge.

A single-lane restriction will occur on Arlington Avenue from McArdle Roadway to East Carson Street from 7 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.

Work related to the restrictions is part of an $80 million renovation of the bridge.
