Former Steeler, Dormont Native Lands NFL Coaching Job

A former Steelers quarterback has joined the NFL coaching ranks. Get the details here.

DORMONT, PA — Dormont native and former Steelers quarterback Bruce Gradkowski has landed an NFL coaching gig. Gradkowski has been hired by the Detroit Lions as an offensive assistant, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Gradkowski, 42, spent the last two seasons as the offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Battlehawks of the XFL and UFL.

Gradkowski attended Seton-Lasalle High School in Mt. Lebanon and played college football at the University of Toledo.

Gradkowski, a 2006 sixth-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, also played for the Browns, Raiders, Bengals and Steelers during his time in the NFL. He finished his playing career with the Steelers in 2014.
