Hollywood Theater Showing 'Citizen Kane' This Weekend

The weekend lineup for Dormont's Hollywood Theater includes a film widely reviewed as one of the best ever made.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Hollywood will show "Citizen Kane" (1941), which is the American Film Institute's #1 movie of all time. The film, which follows events after the death of a well-known publisher, was written and directed, produced and stars Orsen Welles.

Also playing this weekend is "Mishap," a short film by Matt Kappel that the Hollywood is showing for free. The Panther Hollow String Band will perform in the lobby Sunday afternoon, followed by the documentary of bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley, "The Ralph Stanley Story." "Scream Park" will be shown that evening.

• "Citizen Kane" (1941): Jan. 4 at 8 p.m.; Jan. 5 at 8:30 p.m.; Jan. 6 at 4:30 p.m.
• "Mishap": Jan. 5 at 6 p.m.
• "The Ralph Stanley Story," (2001) with live performance by Panther Hollow String Band: Jan. 6—Panther Hollow performs at 1 p.m. in the lobby and documentary begins at 2 p.m.
• "Scream Park" (2012): Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. Cost is $8.
