Join the Dormont-Brookline Patch Food & Tote Bag Drive
Let's join together and make a difference!

In a world filled with polarizing political issues and arguments that never seem to end, there is one problem that we can unify around and all do something about together—hunger.
While many of us are lucky enough to have a job and enough money to put food on the table, many people do not have the ability to feed their families. Hunger is happening everywhere—it’s here in our community, it’s spreading across the region and it’s a national problem that we should all gather to combat—right now.
In conjunction with the , we started a movement of sorts here at Dormont-Brookline Patch—between Nov. 1 and Dec. 18, we challenge every reader who is able to find a tote bag he or she hasn't used in a year (you know you have one!) and fill it up with nonperishable items for the Pittsburgh Food Bank.

Have even more bags to donate? Bring them along with the food!
You’ll be doing good from two angles—someone shopping at the food bank will have an easy way to handle the items, rather than lugging around bulky bags, AND you’ll help someone to feed his or her family.
