KO Receives Record Number of Gene Kelly Nominations
Keystone Oaks High School received eight Gene Kelly Award nominations for "The Drowsy Chaperone."
When director Shane Hallam chose "The Drowsy Chaperone" as this year's Keystone Oaks High School musical, he said he hoped the lesser-known play would give students the chance to spread their wings and try something new.
The effort paid off—Keystone Oaks has been nominated for eight Gene Kelly Awards, a record number for the high school.
"Keystone Oaks has been nominated for the most Gene Kelly Awards in their history with eight nominations," Hallam said in an email to Dormont-Brookline Patch. "This is a huge accomplishment for the students of Keystone Oaks!"
