A Keystone Oaks High School student has been selected as western Pennsylvania's "Most Positive High School Athlete" in girl’s track and field.
Junior Amy Coombs received the honor from Positive Athlete, an organization created by former Pittsburgh Steeler Hines Ward.
Ward and other prominent leaders in the Pittsburgh area presented awards to Coombs and 26 other winners—boys and girls representing several high school sports—in a special ceremony at the Senator John Heinz History Center and Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum in Pittsburgh on Saturday, April 20.

Over 450 nominations for the Positive Athlete awards from over 100 high schools were received.
"This is the second year for the Positive High School Athlete Awards, and the stories of our nominees continue to amaze me," Ward said in a news release. "I was always credited with having a positive influence on my team during my days with the Steelers, but the stories I hear about kids like George really inspire me to be a better person."
