Liberty Bridge Lane Restrictions Resuming

PITTSBURGH, PA - Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend driving hassle-free on the Liberty Bridge. Traffic restrictions resume along with the work week on Tuesday and will last through Friday, PennDOT announced.

Single-lane restrictions will occur in both directions of the span from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, single-lane restrictions will occur and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights as crews clean and remove platforms.

Lane closures will not occur simultaneously in each direction.

The restrictions are occurring as the bridge undergoes an $80 million rehabilitation that includes
deck replacement and ramp reconstruction, structural steel repairs, painting of the entire structure, concrete repairs, signage improvements and installation of a new alternating overhead lane control system.
