Man Beaten With Fire Extinguisher In Brookline Business Robbery

A man was seriously injured Tuesday during a robbery at a Brookline business.

BROOKLINE, PA — A man was seriously injured Tuesday by two men he encountered in a Brookline business.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police were dispatched to a location in the 900 block of Brookline Blvd. for a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers located a man lying on the ground, holding his head in his hands.

The victim told police that two men were likely already inside when he arrived for work and opened the business for the day. Upon seeing the employee, one of the suspects struck him with a fire extinguisher and stole his wallet. When a female employee later arrived for work she discovered her co-worker lying injured on the ground and called 911.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police are searching for the two suspects.
