McFarland Road Closed Again This Weekend In Dormont, Mt. Lebanon

Expect delays and traffic tie-ups as traffic is detoured.

DORMONT, PA - PennDOT once more is closing a portion of McFarland Road in Dormont and Mt. Lebanon for the weekend. McFarland is closed to traffic between Washington Road and Dell Avenue from 9 a.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.

The closure enables crews to conduct concrete patching, drainage improvements, joint and spall repairs, and other miscellaneous construction activities. The posted detour:

  • Take Route 19 (McFarland Road) northbound.
  • Turn left onto McMonagle Road.
  • Turn left onto Greentree Road (Route 121).
  • Turn left onto Cochran Road (Route 121/19).
  • Turn left onto Bower Hill Road.
  • Turn left onto Washington Road.
  • Follow Washington Road back to McFarland Road.
  • End detour.

From Washington Road

  • Same detour in the opposite direction.

Additionally, motorists will not be able to access McFarland Road from Dell Road.

Overnight construction operations will be minimized to avoid noise concerns from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night, according to PennDOT

The work is part of a $3.88 million group concrete repair project.
