McFarland Road Closed Again This Weekend In Dormont, Mt. Lebanon

Yet another weekend of local road woes is ahead.

DORMONT, PA - Prepare for another weekend of traffic headaches. McFarland Road in Dormont and Mt. Lebanon will be closed between Washington Road and Dell Avenue from 9 a.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday, PennDOT announced.

Crews will conduct concrete patching, drainage improvements, joint and spall repairs, and other miscellaneous construction activities. Here is the detour:


From Beverly Road

  • Take Route 19 (McFarland Road) northbound.
  • Turn left onto McMonagle Road.
  • Turn left onto Greentree Road (Route 121).
  • Turn left onto Cochran Road (Route 121/19).
  • Turn left onto Bower Hill Road.
  • Turn left onto Washington Road.
  • Follow Washington Road back to McFarland Road.
  • End detour.

From Washington Road

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

Additionally, motorists will not be able to access McFarland Road from Dell Road.

Overnight construction operations will be minimized to avoid noise concerns from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night.

The work is part of a $3.88 million group concrete repair contract.
