McFarland Road Closing Again In Dormont, Mt. Lebanon

DORMONT, PA - McFarland Road in Dormont and Mt. Lebanon will be closed for much of the weekend as PennDOT continues work on the street. The road will close from 8 p.m. Friday until 10 p.m. Saturday between Beverly Road and Dell Avenue.

Crews will conduct concrete patching, drainage improvement, joint and spall repairs, and other miscellaneous construction activities during that time. The detour:

  • Take McFarland Road to Washington Road.
  • Turn right onto Washington Road.
  • Turn right onto Bower Hill Road.
  • Turn right onto Cochran Road (Route 19/121).
  • Turn right onto Green Tree Road (Route 121).
  • Turn right onto McMonagle Avenue.
  • Follow McMonagle Avenue to McFarland Road/Banksville Road.
  • End detour.

From Beverly Road

  • Same detour in the opposite direction.

Additionally, Beverly Road and McFarland/Banksville Road (Route 19) will be reduced to a single-lane in each direction at the intersection with McFarland Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and from 8 p.m. Friday night through 10 p.m. Saturday. Crews will conduct concrete patching and drainage work.
