Nearly 40 New Wines Hitting Store Shelves

Nearly 40 wines will be added to the shelves of Pennsylvania Wine & Spirits stores.

Among the wines approved by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board last week include Boyd's Cardinal Hollow Jalapeno, Crossing Vineyards Chocolate Cherry Truffle and Shade Mountain Winery Six Dwarfs Mint Wine.

The wines range in price from $8.99 to $32.99.Eleven Pennsylvania wineries are taking part in the Department of Agriculture's PA Preferred program that allows the wineries to place a limited number of varietals in select Wine & Spirits stores.

The wines will hit shelves in 30 to 60 days, according to Stacy Kriedeman, spokesperson for the PLCB. It's not yet clear if the wines will be sold in the Wine & Spirits on Brookline Boulevard or West Liberty Avenue, but the PA Preferred wines will likely have signs identifying them, according to the Tribune Review.
