Outbound Liberty Tunnel To Close Again Next Week

PITTSBURGH, PA - The outbound Liberty Tunnel will see overnight closures again next week, with traffic being detoured from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. April 30 through May 4, PennDOT announced. On May 5, the tunnel will be closed from 8 p.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday as crews conduct concrete placement, installation of electrical conduit and cables, work on safety and control systems, and integrated equipment installation.
The inbound tunnel will remain open at all times.

- Turn right onto PJ McArdle Roadway
- Continue straight onto Merrimac Street
- Turn right onto Woodruff Street
- Follow Woodruff Street to Route 51/19 (Saw Mill Run Boulevard)
- Turn left onto Route 51/19 and follow back to Route 19 (West Liberty Avenue)
- End detour
