Seton Center to Extend Hours Due to Heat

Several centers in the area will be open for longer hours.

Summer is heating up, and with higher temperatures in the forecast, several local senior centers are extending their hours to help residents stay cool.

Nearest to the areas of Dormont and Brookline is the , which will be open June 28 and 29 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. It also will be open June 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Seton Center is at 1900 Pioneer Avenue in Brookline, and the phone number is 412-344-4777.

All county residents ages 60 and older are welcome to visit any of the county-funded senior centers during regular hours of operation to socialize and enjoy activities while taking refuge from the heat.
