Tribute To Dormont's Castle Playground Planned

DORMONT, PA — An opportunity exists to pay tribute to Castle Playground will occur courtesy of the Dormont comprehensive plan consultants from rePLACE. The event will be held Oct. 27 from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. in the Dormont Pool parking lot.
Borough officials say the tribute is an opportunity for the community to gather and share memories of the playground, as well discuss ideas for the future playground and Dormont parks. The borough recently was forced to close all three of its playgrounds for safety reasons.
People can light up a glowstick in tribute, write down a favorite memory or story, and connect with fellow residents while enjoying cider and treats. More activities will be added.

People are invited to remain in the Dormont Pool lot for the borough Halloween Spooktacular featuring trunk or treat and a movie. The event will start at 5:30 p.m.
