The man then moved to the vestibule area, appearing to survey the surroundings before entering a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old woman from Newark, Delaware, police said. Meanwhile, police said the woman still inside the store attempted to exit without paying for the concealed items, bypassing all points of sale.
When approached by police, she resisted cooperation, asserting that her age of 17 exempted her from arrest. The 34-year-old woman provided a false identity to the officers.
