Three more Bucks County residents have died from the coronavirus, officials said Tuesday night.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Three more Bucks County residents have died from the coronavirus, officials said Tuesday night. The county's death toll from COVID-19 has now doubled from three to six.

All three who died Tuesday had underlying health issues, county health officials said. The deceased include two men — one in his 90s and another in his 80s — as well as a woman in her 60s.

Two who died were not known to have had the virus until after they died, county authorities said.

As of Tuesday evening, 32 more residents have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the county's case count to 319. Of those, 29 are hospitalized and nine are in critical condition.

Despite the grim news, Bucks County Health Department Director David Damsker said he sees little evidence of community spread. “I do think that the social distancing is beginning to work,” he said.

As of Tuesday, Pennsylvania had 4,843 COVID-19 cases in 60 counties, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Gov. Tom Wolf has expanded his Stay at Home order, adding Cameron, Crawford, Forest, Franklin, Lawrence, Lebanon, and Somerset to the list of Pennsylvania counties where residents must stay home unless absolutely necessary.
