BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Weekend rain will interrupt plans for local egg hunts on Saturday with many being rescheduled for Sunday, which promises to be the better of both days. In the meantime if you're looking for some fun things to do this weekend, there's plenty going on inside.

Stunning Stained Glass Dome Making World Debut

A stunning eight-foot-tall stained-glass dome, created by internationally known glass artist Judith Schaechter, will make its world debut at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown when "Judith Schaechter: Super/Natural" opens to the public on Saturday, April 12. On view from April 12 to September 14 in the Beans Gallery, the immersive stained-glass environment, also titled Super/Natural, represents a “three-tiered cosmos” that explores the idea of biophilia, the human tendency to connect with nature. Out-Of-This-World Rock And Mineral Show

This weekend, the public is invited to experience rocks and minerals from out-of-this-world at the Churchville Nature Center in Northampton Township. "Space Rocks! Rock & Mineral Expo" will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday, April 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bucks County-owned and operated nature center. READ MORE

America250PA Festivities Starting In Yardley

The Gather Place Museum will kick off a year-long celebration leading up to America's 250th anniversary in 2026 with a special preview of upcoming events on Saturday. The Gather Place Museum will spotlight untold American stories and history makers, including African American and women’s history, Quaker heritage, the Underground Railroad, and the vibrant local history of Bucks County. The event is from 2-4 p.m. at the Yardley Friends Meeting at 65 N. Main St. READ MORE

Hammerstein Museum Opening For Spring Tours

With spring's arrival, the Oscar Hammerstein Museum and Theatre Education Center will offer tours of Hammerstein’s Doylestown home at Highland Farm six times weekly, beginning with kickoff weekend events featuring entertainment by local high school theatre clubs. READ MORE

Winning Images On View At Phillips’ Mill Exhibit

The 2025 Phillips' Mill Photographic Exhibition is on view at Phillips’ Mill, 2619 River Road, New Hope 18938, through April 18. The show features 150 contemporary works across many genres, from portraiture to nature to abstraction. Bucks County resident Harold Stetson won “Best of Show” for "Number 40," a classic black-and-white photograph of an engineer working on an antique steam locomotive. Show hours are 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, and 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. A donation of $5 is requested, and all works are available for purchase, as well as Phillips’ Mill Photo tees and totes. READ MORE
